A colorful Christmas with Jérémie Bellot's chromatic dreams

This December, the castle lights up under the watchful eye of Jérémie Bellot, an internationally renowned visual artist and architect—who also owns the Château de Beaugency.

After the Eiffel Tower, the Mont-Saint-Michel, and Notre-Dame de Paris, the designer has set up shop in Blois with monumental light installations: “Rêves chromatiques” (Chromatic Dreams).

His contemporary, immersive, and poetic works transform the castle's iconic locations: a wishing moon iridesces the courtyard facades, a luminous swing makes beams dance in the gardens, the chapel is reborn under a veil of garlands, and two giant stars dialogue with the midnight blue vault of the States General room. Embark on a sensory journey into the heart of light, between dream and architecture.

Candlelight Concerts: Christmas classics and a tribute to Adele by Candlelight

For the first time in Blois, Candlelight concerts are coming to the castle! Surrounded by thousands of candles, in a cozy and regal atmosphere, let yourself be carried away by an exceptional moment.
On Friday, December 19, pianist Sydney Poma will play two concerts in the Gaston d'Orléans hall. On the program: a musical journey through Christmas classics at 7 p.m. and a delicate tribute to singer Adele at 9 p.m.

Shadow show "La plume bleue" (The Blue Feather) for families

In the soft light of a small shadow theater, two musicians tell a poetic and musical winter tale, populated by animals emblematic of the castle and the region. Sound effects, songs, and dancing silhouettes transport children into a magical world.
After the performance, children aged 6-10 discover the secrets of shadow making, before creating their own silhouette and presenting it to music in a mini-show. A shorter version is available for little ones aged 1-5.

Family guided tour of the castle

During the school holidays, children and their families can immerse themselves in life at the French court! What were the rituals of kings and queens? How did people live at the king's court? What did they eat? What scents filled the apartments? During the tour, the secrets and curiosities of royal life will be revealed to you.

Behing-the-doors guided tour of the castle

Towers, fortifications, attics, and other unusual places... this tour is a real pass to discover areas usually closed to the public! Accompanied by a tour guide, follow this unusual route through the castle.

Let the murmurs of the night be your guide...

As the Château closes its doors, follow our costumed guide on an immersive experience by torchlight. A mysteriously offbeat tour of the royal flats and unusual parts of the monument. Music and poems will accompany this stroll in the half-light: welcome to the secret bowels of the Royal Château of Blois!

The castle is open every day (except December 25 and January 1):

• November 28 to December 19: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. | closes at 6 p.m. on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
• December 20 to January 4, 2026: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. | closes at 5 p.m. on December 24 and 31
• ⚠️Exceptional closing on December 25 and January 1st

The information and reservations service is open Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 5:15 p.m., except on public holidays.
