Each month, let us guide you on a unique tour of the Museum of Fine Arts, nestled in the Louis XII wing of the castle. This museum, rich in masterpieces and exceptional collections, holds many hidden treasures… that we often pass by too quickly.
These themed tours, updated every month, are inspired by our guides’ personal favorites. An invitation to slow down, observe, understand—and above all, marvel.
Every first Sunday from March through June and from September through December, at 4 p.m.

Sunday, March 1 – Sensory Tour: The Museum Through Five Senses
As children, we’re taught to “see with our eyes.” But is sight really the only sense engaged in a museum? An immersive tour to experience the artworks in a new way.
Sunday, April 5 – Leonardos at the Museum of Fine Arts
Examine the Leonardesque style! A painter in the service of Kings Louis XII and Francis I, Leonardo da Vinci left a unique stylistic mark, particularly evident in the museum’s Renaissance collections.
Sunday, May 3 – Stories and Myths
Dive into the fascinating tales of Greco-Roman mythology. The museum’s works tell complex stories… that will soon hold no secrets for you.
Sunday, June 7 – Portraits in All Their Forms
Before the selfie, there was the portrait! For whom? Why? A tour full of faces and stories, exploring what the portraits of Blois reveal about their subjects.
Sunday, September 6 – Troubadour Painting
When history is told through painting… Discover the secrets of troubadour art and the fascination of 19th-century artists with the Middle Ages.
Sunday, October 4 – Women Artists in the Spotlight
Rediscover the museum through the eyes of its female artists, notably Églantine Lemaître from Blois, daughter of the magician Robert-Houdin.
Sunday, November 1 – Violent Deaths in History
Become a detective for the duration of your visit. It’s up to you to investigate, analyze the clues, and solve the case. No cold cases at the end of the tour!
Sunday, December 6 – Sacred Art in the Museum’s Collections
From the Garden of Eden to the Nativity, explore the great founding narratives shared by the three monotheistic religions. As Christmas approaches, discover how artists have beautifully brought them to life in the museum’s collections.
